The day finally arrived for Nick and Mary‘s wedding, and it was wonderful!
We began at Mary’s parents’ gorgeous house in Rhinebeck, moved on to the school church where Mary teaches, did some photos of Nick and Mary alone at Marist College’s waterfront, and then off to the Poughkeepsie Grand for the party. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day…
The details Mary chose were so complimentary to her personality, and it really pulled together her look in such a stylish way. I have never before seen a low, side ponytail on a bride, and I don’t know why! It was absolutely beautiful on Mary, so elegant and fun – just like she is! From the bright, sunny flower bouquets to the white Rolls Royce to the glittering table of candy favors, Nick and Mary’s happiness, class and sweetness showed in every moment of their day.
It was threatening to rain in the morning, but the weather held out, allowing the only moisture of the day to be everyone’s eyes. Mary’s younger sister, Liz, got us all when she made her speech, barely choking down her own tears. Mary cried, Nick cried, I cried. It was the greatest thing.
Such a lovely day! Thanks, you guys, for inviting me to be part of it!
