When I first met Lynne and Steve at Vox, where they’d be having their wedding, Lynne told me about the extensive research she’d done while looking for a photographer. I could tell they were image afficianados, especially when Steve said he was a graphic designer. The clincher for her, Lynne said, were all the reviews she’d read (thank you so much everyone!), and I got the feeling that I was the only photographer they’d invited to be interviewed. So I knew that I was going to have to really wow them with their wedding photos to match their enthusiasm and excitement. But when I got to Vox on their wedding day, it was Lynne and Steve who totally wowed me – with their beautifully handmade and thoughtful details, their roll-with-it attitude (the rain was fine!) and the way Lynne was so comfortable and fun-loving (like she was wearing an old pair of jeans and a t-shirt) while looking so glamorous and elegant (in something that was so not an old pair of jeans and a t-shirt!). Lynne and Steve were up for anything (even a walk across a wet field to get to the perfect picture spot) because they were happy, and it showed.
Lynne thought of everything! She had given to her bridesmaids these beautiful matching necklaces and to her guests, little fans to keep them cool, in their signature green color theme. From the hand-printed table cards and gift boxes to the photo signing board (used in lieu of a guest book) to her mother’s brooch around her bridal bouquet, Lynne and Steve’s love for everyone there touched every part the day.
My favorite part was how Lynne encouraged me, in her picture list, to make lots of pictures about the wedding location. She said they really wanted me to have fun capturing it all for them. And between the cool decorations, the gorgeous nitches, the fun, French owners and OMG the food!, I could totally see why Lynne and Steve chose Vox!
Congratulations, you two! More wows on the way!
