I am always really honored when a couple chooses me to photograph their very important wedding day. But, every once in a while, I am just a little more honored than usual. There was something extra-special about Danny and Michael’s wedding – the fact that, after 9 years in the wedding photography business, this would be my first wedding with two grooms! I have been immensely proud of my beloved home state of New York is doing the right thing by so many lovely and deserving people. So to say I was excited about Danny and Michael’s wedding is an understatement. Especially since Danny and Michael are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met.
Their wedding day was just beautiful. A lot had to do with the venue, which is a study in design in and of itself, and which provided those adorable window frame seating assignments. Danny and Michael also incorporated a friend’s drawing of the two of them at the venue in their invitations and reception details, which we recreated in a photograph. They included the talents of friends and families in the ceremony, with one friend, a Broadway conductor and orchestrator, writing a song to be performed! Overall, they put a lot of thought into their guests’ comfort and enjoyment. Everything about it was so incredibly heartfelt and warm. Check it out…
